Some exciting happenings in the world of Sing Out Bristol... An action packed rehearsal last night, saw us record a segment for a forthcoming Radio 4 project (Young Soul Music) in conjunction with UWE Music Students, focusing on LGBT Equality. We also turned up the heat on our practising for the forthcoming concert in April, including a stirring rendition of NIghts In White Satin and some fun choralography for our musical medley in this concert.
We recently received a lovely thank you letter and certificate from our friends at Ronald McDonald House, after we performed at their pre- Christmas fundraiser in Cabot Circus. We helped them raise a record £1400 from the event, so well done everyone who took part or came to watch and donate on the day.
Tickets for our colourful annual spring concert for 2017, 50 Shades Of Gay on Sat April 22nd, are selling faster than ever. There are still a small number left, so if you haven't bought yours yet, be quick as we wouldn't want you to be disappointed. You can get them here: http://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/event/sing-out-bristol-annual-concert/
You can catch Sing Out Bristol at two public performances this December. First up, we will be joining in with the Terrence Higgins Trust's Word AIDS Day event in the Broadmead Baptist Church (The Church Above The Shops) on Saturday December 3rd. Then, a week later, on Saturday December 10th, you can catch us peform a full repertoire as part of the Ronald McDonald Fundraiser, in Cabot Circus, starting around 5.30pm.
We are proud to announce our annual concert - come on a journey as we take you on a trip around Bristol with its wonderful colours and diversity. All our songs are linked to colours, can you guess some in advance?
